How matching works

Your game, our publisher research, and the reasoning that connects them.

Your game profile

Build a structured profile of players, playtime, weight, mechanics, themes, and how it plays through a guided survey or a rules upload. You review and correct it before anything is scored.

Our publisher directory

We research what each publisher publishes and how they take pitches from BGG and their site. One-game self-publishers and non-publishers stay out.

Ludiscore matching

Ludiscore is how closely your game lines up with what a publisher has been releasing. It uses many factors including their preferred mechanics, weight, player counts, categories and audience.

It’s not a rating of the publisher. A low score means this game isn’t what they typically publish.

It’s a fit score on the evidence we have. It doesn’t tell you what they’ll say.

Once you’ve pitched, tracking keeps the rest organised.

Where do you get your publisher info from?

Exhibitor lists, BoardGameGeek catalogs, and the publishers’ own sites, including how they take pitches.

How do I create a game profile?

Two paths: a guided survey that captures how the game plays and the traits publishers care about, or a rules file upload (.md / .txt) that we structure into the same profile shape. Either way, you can manage and edit the profile before matching.

Do I need a finished prototype?

It’s always best to fully develop and playtest your games before you approach a publisher. However, a clear description of how it plays is enough to build a profile and match against.

What if nothing scores well?

That’s useful. It usually means the game sits outside what these publishers release, often a playtime, player count or category that doesn’t match the market you’re aiming at. Better to learn it before the flight.

Do you send emails for me?

No. Ludipitch never sends mail or drafts outreach copy. You track pitches here and write your own messages.

Do you use large language models?

Yes, in specific places. Models help structure a rules upload into a game profile (survey profiles do not use models). They can also help extract facts from publisher pages we’ve already reviewed, summarizing a catalog page or spotting a submissions link. We don’t add publisher facts that aren’t in the source, and nothing is used for training.

Your Ludiscores blend structured overlap with a model’s read of fit, and show reasoning you can check. Models help interpret research; they don’t replace it, design your game, or email publishers. Neither your game nor the insights we generate about it are used for training.

What happens to my data?

If you choose to upload your game's rules, the file is sent to a language-model API so we can structure a game profile. We keep the file so you can edit and re-score the game later, and the resulting profile is stored with your account. Survey-built profiles stay as the fields you enter (no rules file required). Profiles, rules-derived fields, and match results stay while your account is active so you can rematch and track pitches. We do not sell your rules, and your content is not used to train language models.

If you wish to have your account and its data removed from our system, please email hello@ludipitch.com from the email address associated with your account.

How do I delete my game data?

Email hello@ludipitch.com to remove a game and its uploaded file, or to request account deletion. There’s no in-app delete control yet.

I’m a publisher, how do I correct or remove an entry?

Publishers did not submit this data. If you are listed incorrectly, or you want an entry updated or removed, email hello@ludipitch.com from a publisher email address with the change you need.
